Our Comprehensive Terms and Conditions for Seamless Relocations
When planning a move within the United States, understanding the terms and conditions of your chosen relocation service is crucial for a stress-free experience. At Stops PP Movers, established in 2012 by visionary Matthew Collins, we prioritize transparency, reliability, and customer satisfaction in all our domestic moving services. This guide outlines our key policies, rules, and conditions to help you navigate the process with confidence. Whether you’re relocating a household, office, or specialty items, these guidelines ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
Booking and Reservation Policies
To secure your move, we recommend booking as early as possible, ideally 4-6 weeks in advance for peak seasons (May to September).
- Reservation Process: Contact us via phone, email, or our website to receive a free quote. A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the estimated cost is required to confirm your booking. This deposit is applied toward your final bill.
- Changes and Cancellations: Any modifications to your moving date or services must be requested at least 7 days prior. Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled move incur a 50% fee of the total estimate. No-shows or same-day cancellations result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
- Pricing Structure: Our quotes are based on factors like distance, volume of items, and additional services (e.g., packing, storage). All prices are in USD and subject to change if undisclosed items or access issues arise. Fuel surcharges may apply for long-distance moves.

Preparation and Packing Guidelines
Proper preparation is key to protecting your belongings and avoiding delays.
- Client Responsibilities: You must ensure all items are ready for transport. Hazardous materials (e.g., flammables, corrosives, or perishables) are prohibited. Valuables like jewelry, cash, or important documents should be transported personally.
- Packing Services: If opting for our full-service packing, our team uses high-quality materials. For self-packing, we provide guidelines and supplies upon request. Improperly packed items may not be covered under our liability terms.
- Inventory and Valuation: A detailed inventory list is created during the initial walkthrough. Choose from our valuation options: Released Value (basic coverage at $0.60 per pound per article) or Full Value Protection (comprehensive coverage with deductibles starting at $250).

During the Move: Rules for Safety and Efficiency
Our trained professionals handle your items with care, but adherence to these rules ensures everyone’s safety.
- Access and Site Requirements: Provide clear access to loading/unloading areas, including elevators if needed. Any parking permits or fees are your responsibility. Delays due to inaccessible sites may incur hourly charges.
- Pet and Child Policies: For safety, keep pets and children away from moving areas. We recommend boarding pets or arranging supervision during loading/unloading.
- Prohibited Actions: Smoking, open flames, or unauthorized handling of equipment is not allowed on-site. Our team follows strict COVID-19 protocols, including masking and sanitization as per local guidelines.

Delivery and Post-Move Conditions
Upon arrival at your new destination, we aim for prompt and careful unloading.
- Delivery Timeline: Intrastate moves typically take 1-3 days; interstate can vary based on distance (up to 21 days for coast-to-coast). Weather or unforeseen events may cause delays—we’ll keep you updated.
- Claims Process: Inspect items upon delivery and note any damage on the inventory sheet. File claims within 9 months of delivery for consideration. We are not liable for pre-existing damage or items packed by the client.
- Payment Terms: Full payment is due upon delivery via cash, check, or credit card (3% fee applies). Overdue payments accrue 1.5% monthly interest.

Additional Services and Special Conditions
Stops PP Movers offers customizable add-ons to meet your needs.
- Storage Options: Short-term storage is available at our secure facilities. Rates start at $50 per month per unit, with climate-controlled options for sensitive items.
- Insurance and Liability: Our standard liability is limited; we recommend third-party insurance for high-value items. Force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters) exempt us from liability.
- Dispute Resolution: Any disputes are governed by the laws of the state where the move originates. We encourage amicable resolution but reserve the right to arbitration.
